인천시청과 인천시교육청 국기 게양대에는 지난 14일부터 한반도기가 게양되어 펄럭이고 있다. 한반도기는 10월 4일까지 게양될 예정이다.
인천시가 ‘2020 서해평화특별기간’으로 9월 14일부터 10월 4일까지로 정하면서, 기존 한반도기에 서해5도를 그려넣은 새로운 한반도기를 인천시청과 인천시교육청에 게양됐다.
최근 21일 서해바다 북측 해역에서 표류하던 해양수산부 소속 서해어업지도선 공무원 A씨가 북한군에 의해 사살되고, 사망한 A씨를 불을 질러 수장한 사건이 발생해 지자체 가운데 유일하게 인천시와 인천시교육청에 게양된 한반도기를 내려야 한다는 지적이 나오고 있다.
25일 인천시는 남북협력담당관실은 ” 최근 이런 중대한 사건이 발생해서, 내부적으로 한반도기를 내려야 할 지 지금 검토중에 있다”며 ” 빠른 시일내에 결정할 예정이다”고 밝혔다.
아울러 인천시교육청 관계자도 “10.4 남북공동선언 13주년을 맞아 한반도기를 기간을 정해서 게양중에 있는데, 현재 공무원 피격과 관련하여 시교육청에서도 한반도기 게시여부에 대하여 검토중에 있다”고 밝혔다.
22일 북한군에 의해 국민이 총살당한 지 3일이 지난 9월 25일까지도 한반도기는 인천시청과 인천시교육청에 나부끼고 있다.

Until September 25, three days after the people were shot by North Korean troops on the 22nd, the Korean peninsula is fluttering at Incheon City Hall and Incheon City Office of Education.
