6일 오후1시경에 부평 캠프마켓 미군부대 게이트1 정문 철조망 뒤에 설치된 담장이 허물어졌다.
인천시가 10월 14일 부평 캠프마켓 개방 행사를 앞두고 담장을 허물었다.
이날 박남춘 인천시장은 페이스북을 통해서 “오늘 캠프마켓 정문을 가로막던 담장을 허물었습니다. 90년대 초 폐쇄된 정문을 다시 열기 위한 작업입니다.”라며 담장을 허문 사실을 알렸다.
부평 캠프마켓 미군부대 게이트 1 에 있는 담장은 1990년대초 캠프마켓 미군 부대 앞에서 벌어진 미군철수 반대 시위에 대응하기 위해 미군측이 설치한 것이다.

At around 1 pm on the 6th, the fence installed behind the barbed wire at the gate 1 of the U.S. military unit at the Bupyeong Camp Market collapsed.
Incheon city broke down the fence ahead of the opening ceremony of the Bupyeong camp market on October 14th.
On this day, Incheon Mayor Park Nam-chun announced through Facebook that the fence that was blocking the main entrance of the camp market today was demolished.
The fence at Gate 1 of the US military unit at the Bupyeong Camp Market was installed by the US military to respond to protests against the withdrawal of US troops in front of US troops at the camp market in the early 1990s.
