최근 해양수산부 소속 공무원이 북한군에 의해 사살된 가운데, 인천시청에 한반도기가 게양되어 논란(본보. 2020년 9월 25일자)에 대해서 국민의힘 인천시당이 성명서를 내고 ‘한반도기부터 내려라”라고 요구하고 나섰다.
28일 국민의힘 인천시당은 “박남춘 시장은 인천 앞바다에서 벌어진 북한의 만행에 대한 분명한 태도를 밝혀라”라는 성명서를 냈다.
성명서는 “인천 앞 바다다. 인천시정부가 앞장서서 진상조사나 사태수습 등에 나서는 게 당연한데, 박남춘 인천시장은 별 말이 없다. 국민이 인천 앞바다에서 처참하게 살해당했다. 북한의 행태에 대한 보다 분명한 입장을 밝혀야 한다”고 요구했다.
국민의힘 인천시당은 “평화는 이해당사자 간의 합의가 있어야 한다. 어느 하나가 일방적으로 원한다고 해서 이루어지는 게 아니다. 북한군이 우리 국민을 향해 방아쇠를 당기는 순간 그 평화는 깨진 것이다”며 “당장 ‘서해평화 특별기간’을 취소해야 한다”고 요구했다.
이 성명서는 “무엇보다 보란 듯 휘날리고 있는 시청 앞의 한반도기부터 내리고 시민들에게 사과하라”고 강력하게 요구했다.

This statement strongly demanded, “First of all, get off the Korean peninsula in front of the city hall and apologize to the citizens.”
