부평구문화재단이 작년 2억원의 예산을 들여 추진한 부평 뮤직 게더링에 프랑스 밴드를 초정한 것이 도마 위에 올랐다.
지난 7월 15일 제238회[임시회] 제2차 행정복지위원회에서 오흥수 의원은 “작년 부평 뮤직 게더링에 프랑스 밴드를 초청해서 예산을 사용한 것이 도저히 이해가 되지 않는다. 초청한 프랑스 밴드를 아는 부평 사람들이 몇 명이 되며, 부평지역 행사에 인천 부평 음악인들 참여는 전혀 없고, 대부분 서울 홍대에서 활동하는 음악인을 초청하는 것이 지역 문화재단이 할 일인지 근본적으로 묻고 싶다”고 언급했다.
특히, 오흥수 의원은 “작년 이 사업에 일본 EDM DJ를 초대하는 것은 당시 한일 관계가 긴장일 시기인데, 역사의식이라는 것이 있는 것인지 되묻고 싶다”고 말했다.
이에 대해 부평구문화재단 이영훈 대표이사는 “올해 부평 뮤직 게더링은 규모를 축소해서 진행할 예정이고, 지역 뮤지션 참여폭도 높히겠다”고 답했다.

In response, Lee Young-hoon, CEO of Bupyeong-gu Cultural Foundation, replied, “This year, Bupyeong Music Gathering will be reduced in size and will be carried out, and the participation of local musicians will be increased.”
